Lopez Lomong’s life is like a movie, and you can almost hear the trailer: He started out running for his life, now he runs because he’s fast. From Lost Boy of Sudan to U.S. Olympic Athlete. Hollywood producers are planning to make a movie based on his life. This week he added another scene to the screenplay - college graduation.  Lomong came to the United States with two dreams: to compete in the Olympics, and to graduate from college. He can now say he’s achieved both.

Fallout of Ethiopia Draw: Heads will roll - Siasia

SUPER Eagles' coach, Samson Siasia, says he will shut the door of the national team against big players who failed to give a five-star performance to Nigeria.  Henceforth, Siasia said, he will place premium on attitude before making his  selections for future games.  Trailing group two leader, Guinea by three points, the Eagles are in must-wins duels against Madagascar in Antannarivo and Guinea in Abuja.
However, Siasia realises the six points might not be obtainable if some players repeat the attitude they showed in a 2-2 draw against Ethiopia last Sunday.

 Luol Deng excited to play in '12 Games

Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng was excited to receive the news Sunday that Great Britain's men's basketball team will compete in the 2012 Olympics in London. "Got the great news we will be playing@London2012," Deng tweeted. "Thanks for all your messages! Can't wait to play in London."  Deng is a Sudan native and British citizen, and he's played a key role in the resurgence of basketball in Great Britain. He may be joined on the team by Detroit Pistons guard Ben Gordon, who played with Deng in Chicago.

Sadomba strike lifts Sudanese side

ZIMBABWE international, Edward Sadomba scored the only goal of the game  as Al-Hilal of Sudan became the first winners in the group phase of the Champions League by edging Raja Casablanca of Morocco 1-0 on Friday. Warriors striker Edward Sadomba converted a second-half penalty to seal the victory for the home side in Omdurman.

As the Super Eagles prepare to tackle their Ethiopian counterpart in an all important  Africa Nations Cup qualifier in Addis Ababa tomorrow, former Nigerian Football Association, NF Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima has expressed his hope on the Super Eagles translating their 4-1 trashing of Argentina into a resounding victory against the Walya Antelopes.  The Kano State born sport administrator pointed out that the team has improved because of the series of friendly matches they have played which has now made Nigerians to expect nothing less than victory from them.

He has a truly remarkable story, is articulate and from the outset of our interview says no areas are off limits.  Deng had some journey to NBA stardom with the Chicago Bulls. He was born in Sudan, raised in Egypt and then South Norwood in London as a refugee, before coming to the United States at the age of 14.
